Good practice: Fresh insights from the Cross-Sectoral Innovation initiatives (Northern Dimension Countries)
Established ten years ago, the Secretariat of the Northern Dimension Partnership for Culture (NDPC) is currently preparing a new strategy for 2021-2024. Contributing to this work is an EU-funded project ‘Cultural and Creative Industries Cooperation and Innovation in the Northern Dimension Countries’. The project outputs include mapping, reports, policy briefs, articles, experts’ focus groups and about 80 case studies looking at different forms of cross-sectoral cooperation and innovation.
COVID-19, and the ensuing financial and economic crisis will present new challenges. CCI cross-sectoral working will be taking on a new importance. In this session we look at three of the case studies from the Baltic Sea region as an illustration of how the CCI sector can move outside of its own traditional boundaries and will discuss what kind of policy implications this should have.
The Northern Dimension (ND) consists of eleven countries - Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Russian Federation and Sweden. The ND works through four Partnerships, one of which is he Northern Dimension Partnership for Culture (NDPC).
