Cross Innovation for Good – How we can use multidisciplinarity for Social Innovation?
Indy Johar is actually an architect, but for him, limiting himself to just one discipline is not in keeping with the times. He founded the interdisciplinary architecture studio project00, in which architects, designers, programmers, social scientists, economists and urban planners work hand in hand.
This diverse mix of professions has not only resulted in groundbreaking architecture, but also social ventures such as Open Desk or WikiHouse. Indy's latest venture remains true to the idea of cross innovation: DarkMatter Laboratories has no less goal than to reinvent the institutional infrastructure and bureaucracy of our cities and regions to foster a democratic distributed transition to a more social and sustainable society.
In his talk, he tells us how such complex issues can be successfully addressed with a diverse team and how social innovation works.
